"In The Closet" is a song written by Teddy Riley, and Michael Jackson, for his 1991 album "Dangerous". The song's lyrics allude to a concealed relationship between a man and a woman. "In the Closet" was originally intended as a duet between Michael Jackson and Madonna. According to a 1992 interview with Jonathan Ross, Madonna said she worked on some lyrical ideas for the song but when she presented them to Jackson, he decided they were too provocative and she decided not to continue with the project. The song became the album's second number one R&B single and its third top ten pop single, reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100.
