Released on November 22, 1991 by Epic Records, Dangerous was the 8th album by Michael Jackson. It is Michael Jackson's second best selling album after Thriller. Dangerous became Michael Jackson's second to debut at No 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart (with 326,500 copies sold in one week of release), where it spent the next four consecutive weeks. In the space of 17 years, the record has sold as much as 32 million copies worldwide. Dangerous was Michael Jackson's fastest selling album ever in the United States with four million sold in under two months. This broke the sales record for Bad in 1987.
